Bloggers Have Legal Rights

Its typed out loud all over the Internet "Apple Shuts Down Rumors Site" Reuters claims "Apple Case Settled" and associated press news wires are reporting it as well. If you have followed this case in its entirety, you will know this case question a bloggers right to claim journalism protection. A California court initially sided with Apple but the hi-tech firm lost the case on appeal. The outcome of that said bloggers should be considered as journalists and subject to the same protections. Bloggers now legally have Rights. This is only the start of the Freelanthropist trend, as more and more bloggers begin to pool resources, to spread a news worthy story or information across the country. More legislation pending approval at the federal government level would afford bloggers and online journalist further rights and journalistic recognitions but intends to make sure you still are not free to type anything you want about anybody. What these initial steps will do is take away the "monopolized total control" the big news networks currently have over news events and allow "real news" to be reported on in "real time" by a "real observer.
